Ingredients
- For the sauce:
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp shaoxing wine
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoison sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 1/4 cups water
- For the Stir Fry:
2 tbsp coconut oil, or a neutral oil
1 onion, sliced
4 minced garlic cloves
2 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces or sliced
Approx. 4 cups of broccoli florets
1 bell pepper, sliced
Directions
- Steam broccoli for a few minutes until tender crisp, or microwave it. Set aside.
- Whisk sauce ingredients together well. Set aside and whisk again before putting in pan later.
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok. Add the onions and sauted for a minute, then add garlic and ginger. Mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces and bell pepper and cook until almost done. Add the sauce and water. Stire well and let bubble for a couple of minutes until thickened and glossy.
- Stir in the steamed broccoli. Serve with white rice. Enjoy!
