Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sliced beef sirloin tip

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 2 tsp shaoxing wine


  • For the sauce:

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp shaoxing wine

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup water


  • For the stir-fry:

  • 2 tbsp grapeseed oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 4 cups broccoli florets

Directions

  • Mix the beef ingredients together. Let sit for about 20 minutes.
  • Mix the sauce ingredients together well. Set aside.
  • In a wok, or large pan, heat oil. Add beef in single layer over high heat. Let brown for a few minutes without stirring.
  • Add onion, cook for a minute, then mix in the broccoli for another minute.
  • Add the sauce, let bubble until thickened, and broccoli is tender, but still has a bite to it. Serve over Jasmine rice. Enjoy!
