For this fun cake, I carved a round layer cake into a bowl shape. I filled and iced the cake.
I used this vanilla cake recipe from Yolanda on How To Cake It.
For the icing, I made her Italian meringue buttercream.
I made a bowl of popcorn and melted some white chocolate chips to use as “glue” for sticking the popcorn on.
I used a plastic popcorn container, and I taped the wooden dowel on the inside top. I stick the other side of the dowel in the cake.
Then I just put on the popcorn, using the white chocolate. I started from the top and worked my way down.
